Joseph Herscher builds absurd Rube-Goldberg machines for life’s most mundane tasks. His tools? Scotch tape, paperclips, rubberbands, glue, hamsters, soup cans, hand axes … you render the point. How’d you get smash into this?

I used to be a- software developer, but then, individual day, in my spare interval, I began building a Serf Goldberg machine because I was inspired by these other videos on YouTube.

And I got really into it. Every dowry I would come home work and spend four noontide building it. Seven months following, I had this enormous appliance that made me a toby jug of tea. I filmed on your toes, put it on YouTube, stomach it got a million views. I realized, “Oh, maybe that could be my new job.”

What’s the most dangerous video you’ve made?
